Decided to come off my AD

At my next appt with pdoc I decided to ask him if I can drop my AD. I feel as if though I don’t need it.

Nicotine is an AD
McDonalds is as well.
Exercise works too.

I just feel that I have too many chemicals in my body.

Good idea or no?

Well I can’t say it’s a good idea or no but you’re doing the right thing by discussing with your pdoc. You know yourself the best anyways.

I’ve no idea. You’re obviously on it for a reason.

Be careful @anon57786250
You are on your AD for a reason you might become very ill and it would set you back
In my experience I changed my AD and I became very depressed and anxious
That’s my experience

it is not a paracetamol.

I think eating at McDonalds would make me depressed.

@insidemind Are you kidding me? 3 Mcdoubles and 2 apple pies make my day, ha

I feel that I only need my AP so I stay sane. AD’s are mostly used for depression and anxiety, something a healthy lifestyle can attend to. But that’s just my opinion.

you should do fitness and cardio. You will become a whole other person

ATM my body is very sensitive to exercise. Any cardio workouts make me anxious. I just stick to my walks, they help me the most.

I had a doctor tell me once if I exercised intensely for a couple months, I would cure myself. Ironically, he dxed me with sz.

Maybe he was talking about my dissociation? He said I also had traits of Aspergers.

He said my locus coeruleus was malfunctioning.

Don’t use nicotine it will make your condition worse… It is actually being looked at as a potential cause or trigger of schizo

Do you have a source for that?

I doubt that intense exercise would cure SZ, it would help it out a lot though.

Depression normally isn’t cured with just exercise and big Macs but yeah ask your doctor yo.

In my experience, a healthier lifestyle only minimally helped with my anxiety and depression. Still haven’t found the right med personally, though.

This is not the best source, however it gives me way for explanation.

-excess or lack of dopamine is known to cause psychiatric disorders.

A lack of dopamine would give cigarettes a reason to shine.

However, excess dopamine would make cigarettes very bad.

This also becomes a dependancy and tolerance issues. If cigarettes balanced dopamine - it would start to have little effect and when not smoking, dopamine would be below normal.

It is different for everyone ig.
Like for me caffeine ends symptoms of schizophrenia.
For some people it makes them a lot worsw.

I have depression, but I don’t like antidepressants, I think they would make me worse.
Good luck with coming off them, hope the withdrawals aren’t bad.
You probs need to taper off them too.

I was told today for the third time that sugar interferes with aps.which I believe is true because I can feel the difference.
