2 out of the 3 “bedrooms” in the upstairs of our house don’t have overhead fans/lights and I have decided I am in the mood to do some electrical work. These rooms only have switched receptacles. I haven’t done anything besides receptacles in about 7 years. I ordered all the parts/wire/tools so there is no backing out now. Will have to get in the attic to install the wiring for the ceiling fans/lights.
I’m kind of excited to try my hand at something I haven’t done in several years.
Thanks @LevelJ1 ! If everything goes well, maybe I will consider doing more electrical work as a hobby. Always someone that needs stuff done, and I have a large extended family.
I changed out an old hanging light fixture at my old place and replaced it with a round led ceiling fixture.
I was a bit nervous cuz the old fixture didn’t have labeled wiring it was from the 50s.
My dad helped me do that in my house about 4 years ago. My mom picked out a light for my bedroom ceilings. I’m using one right now. Hope the project goes well.
@Bowens - great you can do it yourself - I been building a smart home and had to replace a light switch - watched YouTube for weeks - over and over - so afraid i would be electrocuted. But i got it done and felt great. Plus I love the new light switch.
