Dead ancestors watching us in our private moments?

Having ancestors judge you is having culture judge you. There is a lot of wisdom there, but it is ancient and not necessarily up to date with modern life. You have to forge you own path, but keep both in mind.

If this was attributed to Korean Confucian beliefs, it’s actually ok because you are following the lineage of your clan/people.

And believe me, they are certainly not watching you in your private moments.

IDK. Maybe they can give you some tips or a critique so you can improve your performance.

If it was me, I wouldn’t care unless they started to boo or heckle me.

A lot of people in Japan feel this way and are grateful because when they are doing good things they feel supported, and when they are scared they feel protected.
