Dad Passed Away...Found Old Hockey Cards While Cleaning the House Basement

Found 49 1951 Parkhurst Hockey Cards. They are in pretty good shape considering they are 73 years old. I have to get them evaluated/ graded at some point. I’m guessing they are worth at least 5-10 grand…perhaps more…pretty exciting!

whoa…maybe more than that bud…I saw a movie I forget the name but his dad had stocked up on baseball in the fifties and then in the eighties the son used it for currency…made a million…who knows, bud, don’t wait too long, I’m dying to know.

Here is a stock photo card example. This is goalie Turk Broda from Toronto Maple Leafs…

I have this card.

The Gordie Howe card from this set is worth a quarter of a million dollars. I don’t have his card.

I’m sorry to hear that your Dad passed away.

Firstly, sorry about your father.

Secondly, get those cards looked at. Try 3 different valuations to find a means, and avoid conmen.

My condolences to you and your family

I have never understood why hockey is even watchable, let alone collectable in terms of merch. Wish I still had my old Star Wars stuff I had as a kid.
