Countdown to my work Thread and trial period Time

I am so so so relieved that I now have an appropriate, realistic, covid resistant full time job.

It is a Monday to Friday job

Week One and Two is sort of a trial period to see if I fit in.

Day One is on Monday 26.7.21

I will mentally prepare myself for day one tomorrow

Sorry but I want to keep the job type private

Thankyou Flyingpancakes …I think I will be happy with it as long as it is not too hard for me.

I think it will take me two weeks to really get a grip on the job but it really is a pretty relaxing job from what I have been told so I am grateful for it, really truly

Cheers Bluebutterfly, tbh I feel like I have reached a stage where my body has adapted to the medication to a considerable degree. It is mainly about managing it well now.

And the job is so well suited to me that I have to say I am just extremely lucky that this job had a vacancy.

Good for you, hope it goes well.

I didn’t mind telling people what I do but I kept the company secret because I don’t want them to know I have schizophrenia. They don’t suspect anything and I have been getting along just fine.

I couldn’t handle Monday to Friday. I only work 2-3 shifts per week. If my insomnia ever improves then I will consider going full time.

Some tips for your first day. If you get stressed just tell yourself 2 things, positive self talk…

  1. The shift will come to an end and you get to go home
  2. I am getting paid for this
