Counselling

To discuss my issues I’m getting 1 to 1 counselling from an organisation called Pegasus.

I’ve opted to have it online via facetime and with a male counsellor.

I get 6 weekly sessions for free and then it’s only £12 a session.

Do you have or have had counselling? What should I expect?

A good counselor will listen well, and offer coping techniques to try. They’ll help you talk through your problems and guide you in making decisions and:or changes necessary to live a more fulfilling life.

I had a really nice counselor a couple of years ago. She was really sweet and very attentive to my thoughts and feelings. I honestly always felt so much better after seeing her.

The hardest part I found was the first meeting where you have to open up to someone you don’t know and give them an overview of things you are there to talk about (which are obviously usually distressing). But remember they wouldn’t be in that profession if they were judgemental.

I do weekly counselling with a male. There is nothing I can not talk about with him from sex to religion to politics to anything. We both share a love of music and we both play the drums. He is keeping me in a productive healthy mentality.
