Quite an interesting article! When I looked at my irises I noticed two spots on my left one.

I noticed small imperfections, like round brown spots, in my iris. I am hesitant to associate it with mental illness.
If iris shape can indeed decisively indicate future risk of mental illness (if changes to the eye appear after the first episode then it is much less useful), then it would become the first scientific study that actually impressed me. That is because it can be immediately implemented to produce results, unlike most scientific research on the subject I saw in popular media in the past five years.
