Coronary artery disease

Does anyone have or know someone with coronary artery disease? What were the symptoms and how old were you/them when they got diagnosed?

My health anxiety is bad right now. Thinking my arteries might be clogged because I get chest pain sometimes. I’m 29 years old, male, former smoker, active, over weight.

My grandpa had a heart attack in his late 40’s due to heavy smoking. He never had a stent put in an artery though.

Big meals can cause chest pain, too much caffeine too

I know CAD runs in my family on my mother’s side, but I admittedly don’t know much about it. I hope you find the answers you’re looking for.

I haven’t really been eating big meals the last month dieting and I barely have any caffeine. Less than 100 mg a day.

Thanks

Chest pain can be acid reflux.

Many people go to the ER everyday because they think they’re having a heart attack when they’re actually having a panic attack.

[While both panic attacks and heart attacks can cause similar symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, and sweating, a heart attack’s pain typically feels like pressure or squeezing, radiates to other areas (like the arm, jaw, or neck), and doesn’t subside quickly, while panic attack pain is often sharp or stabbing and localized to the chest, and resolves within a short period. ]AI Overview
