Community college. any experiences? please share?

i’ve been to both university and community college. i found i had more of a social life at university then community college, but was a better student at community college. i was like 25 last time i took any classes. the thing i like about community college, is each class will usually have one or two older working adults taking classes, so i don’t feel quite as out of place. also it seems to be easier to email professors and what not about topics.

i have earned about 50 credit hours total, but am basically going to be starting over at community college to get my gpa up. retaking classes like english, and i might have to take some social sciences again, not sure.

the one thing i will do differently this time than last time i took classes. is say very little in class. and just let the other students do the talking. only talking if called upon or something.

im going to try to get an associates in biology, and i might take some spanish classes just for personal knowledge.

will not get a bachelor’s. i have no interest in 4 years of school. i will start looking for a job when i complete my 2 years. my degree will be useless basically, as i will probably end up working at the casino in town. i think i qualify for grants, so shouldnt cost me much.

I was equally social at community college and university. But my work and grades were better in university. I partied too much when I went to the community college. In university, I was social but mostly in study groups. I graduated university with a 4.0 straight A GPA.

i took chemistry 1,2 and organic chemistry 1,2 at community because it was cheaper there then transfered the credits to my university.

I have a major in physiotherapy from university. I studied college in French but chose English for university. Good thing, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to communicate well in this forum lol French forums suck even if they exist for sz lol

What I miss about university are the hot girls and studying with them. Some girls I had their phone number, I still have them on facebook but I stopped talking to them due to my sz.

Did both university and community college, liked both, I didn’t graduate but I got into crossfit in '09 at the university and it changed the way I worked out forever.

They had everything, even frozen berries, milk, with blenders. Raw eggs with frying pans to fry, etc

Yeah, I guess I was one of those older adults even though I was only in my thirties.

I’ve never been to a university, but took just a couple classes at a time at a local community college for 5 years when I lived in the board & care. Still working on my degree but only taking online classes.

Going to college was a good experience. I took a lot of Physical Ed courses like weight training, volleyball, tennis.

Some people liked me, I talked to certain people. I have to say though, no one really bothered me, none of that high school crap went on, for the most part.

Yeah no weird highschool drama, besides the frat bros and sorority girls drinking in class and still trying to be the “cool” ones, people were more open and willing to be whoever they wanted, just from what I saw in my limited experience if course.
