Anyone else ever have ridiculously specific coincidences that seem to be directed at you? I’ve deleted nearly all of my social media because of how scared I’ve gotten.

I get that quite a bit. When Papa John’s Pizza appeared in my home town I was certain they gave it that name to enrage me. Now that’s over, and I just see them as a kick ass place to get pizza.

Thank you. I just mentioned this to my psychiatrist for the first time today. Couldn’t remember the proper definition she used.

What is your diagnosis? People don’t usually listen to things like that on here.

Well when I was in psychosis, yes I had coincidences a lot.
But now I’m better, on medication and all.

I used to see lots of “coincidences” when I was sick.
Now that I’m on meds, I see less and have better insight when they do come across.

I love the cool coincidences. i. e. thinking about Led Zeppelin and five minutes later Stairway to Heaven comes on the radio.
Last week I was thinking it had not hailed in years. The next day it rained and hailed when I was in my car eating lunch. And others.

It’s literally two minutes later and Dancing Days by Led Zeppelin just came on the radio. I take that as a sign that I should have a turkey sandwich for dinner tonight and switch to a new bank tomorrow.
Thank you for all the kind replies and welcomes! My psychiatrist said she isn’t comfortable diagnosing me yet as I’ve just mentioned my concerns for the first time today. I’ve been having quote-on-quote symptoms for about a year now, but I didn’t want to seem like I was self-diagnosing, so i never mentioned it until now.

I saw them and applied massive significance to them in my first year or two with the illness. Nowadays I still spot them but simply write them off as chance. Something about sz/sza makes us hypervigilant when it comes to watching out for and noticing coincidences.
