So after my earlier post this week, about going back on seroquel. Another doc has said there was no point in going back to use this as it was tried before and didnt work.
So now I am being placed on clozapine, blood test first then off to hospital to start it. I’m not going to lie I’m scarred about this medication but given I have tried 5 APs so far its seems inevitable.
Anyone have any feedback on this drug, as sad as it sounds I’m vain and dont want to balloon up in weight like I did with olanzapine.
I’ve been on all but 2 and they are still eyeballing those 2. Weight gain is a concern, yes, but a BIG part of it is that the neurologist doesn’t want me on it because it can interfere with the seizure threshold, dropping it dramatically. I have epilepsy, so that makes clozapine a no-go. I almost had the docs talked into it, but the neuro shot it down, ultimately.
