Has anyone else out there been on Celexa for a long time?
Is it possible that being on an anti-depressant for many years can cause depression?
Thank you for any help.

I was on it and it never did much for me, Abilify seems to work
Its possible that AD doesnt work for Someone. Then you need to switch. But giving depression i dont Think they can.
is celexa citalopram?
Oh it is.
It didnt do anything thing for me whatsoever, neither did escitalopram.
Prozac on the other hand seems to be working in a way !
Yeah, I’ve been on Citalopram for years.
I’m starting to wonder if it’s losing it’s effect/dosage on me. My depression could be more situational though.
That’s great that the Prozac is helping you though!
Im on escitalopram, dont know if it works, hard to quit With.
@Montezuma Sorry, I’m not sure about the long-term effects.
I take Venlafaxine (Effexor) and the withdrawal effects are absolutely horrible. It feels as though the brain is experiencing short, sharp electric shocks. Best avoided, if possible.
