Im getting false teeth and thus wont be able to eat nuts again…this is a problem for me as im vegan…can you blend nuts, kinda make them in to a paste
You can consume nut butters like almond butter and peanut butter or cashew and walnut butter instead.
But are they as nutritious as whole nuts
Yes they are just maybe a bit more caloric though but worth it.
I consume almond butter and peanut butter all the time.
No you can’t use a blender. I have a cold press juice extractor that liquify nuts but it needed an extra part to do it. I didn’t buy the extra part. It can also extract oil.
Its easier and cheaper to just buy peanut and other nuts butters honestly.
Soaked cashews blended are great in a nachos style dip, just add some nutritional yeast. Minimalist Baker made a recipe
hmm i never thought of that… actually you know what, making it yourself might be a little healthier just because…
when they make peanut butter i think they remove that thin layer of red skin around the peanut which has a ton of iron. youd probably be better off making your own (cuz the iron) …heck it might even be cheaper?
IDK, sounds pretty painful if you ask me.
I was wondering when you were going to chime in on this thread . I thought about making a joke myself in your absence.
Blenders don’t do a wonderful job with nuts. An electric blade coffee grinder will turn nuts into a fine powder with ease and you can add that powder to other dishes for additional protein. Don’t use a grinder that you use for coffee for nuts as well otherwise guess what the nuts will taste like?
They are nutritious, and yes you can blend them into a paste or spread. Lots of vegan recipes use nuts in place of cheese by blending them and seasoning them, so you’re good. No need to worry
