Yeah it’s like those brain training sites. It just makes you good at solving certain puzzles.
I play a lot of computer games because they can hold my interest for a long time. Movies,reading…all that was so much harder to manage but I can play computer games…I think there’d be some benefit. Some games teach you to think rationally and gives you some structure…not sure you could quantify the benefits but there is probably some improvement for sure!

I think it might improve the cognitive skills required to play such games without improving cognitive skills generally.
