Can antipsychotics make you immune to drugs like ciggs or atavan is there any studies on this?

I notice I dont feel drugs any more and wondered if that was the answer

I’m on abilify and have noticed drugs don’t work the same on me.

It’s best to just avoid them.

There could be a dangerous interaction and they’re just not fun on APs.

my doc told me that because of how most antipsychotics work on receptors in the brain that nicotine is less effective

I’ve been on Haldol for 9 months and can’t feel any drug it’s horrible smoking a bit of pot for depression when you’re suicidal and you can handle pot is not wrong at all.

Is that really worth it?

I have side effects from my medication too, but I’d rather be on them than psychotic.

I flirted with vaping for a bit and even got some vape juice that had high nicotine content. I sure as heck felt the nicotine right away. It could make the room spin if I had a big enough honk of it at once. I’m on a low dose of APs, but over a quarter of century of using them hasn’t made me immune to nicotine.

They dont work for me and I am trying to quit all drugs the only drugs iam on are cigs sz medication and ATAVAN but I want to smoke weed agian when my sz goes away one day with a good diet and exercise

It happens right away when I started the meds my voices say that they disconnected brain tissue to punish me

Uh, well, ignore that. Mine have given me countless dates for the end of the world, alien colonization, etc. They’ve blown every one. That’s because they’re bogus. Stop paying attention to them and start enjoying your life.

Ooh that’s a bit risky. If you smoke weed again when voices are gone. They might come back. They might not. It’s a bit of a risk but if you think it’s worth it then I’m not going to stop you.

It can make certain drugs less powerful, like lsd. I only know that because i used to trip all the time and wouldnt take my psych meds when i did. Dont recommend.

But pot? More intense. Maybe thats because of the schiz, maybe ita the medicine. I dont know.

Yeah thought about that they might come back I was smoking weed for about a year and a half then all off a sudden I started getting pariniod about evil psychics stealing my energy then thought it was my neighbors and scientology trying to kill some days with there minds and steal more of my energy then started to hear voices saying that they where god then they turned into the illuminati and and stayed that way saying that they are gonna tourture me with their minds forever cuz I smoke cigs. I beg and plead with them that I cant quit but they dont care and say it’s easy and every one did it for at least a day
