I’m of the opinion that the Chinese calendar starts thousands of years before the western time.

Hinduism, Buddhist and Jainism have their own version of time keeping. I know two variants of Hindu calendars. Vikram and Shaka one.

Despite that I know what BC means. Most people here use a combined version of Gregorian and regional calendar.

Bc recently has gained an urban meaning in here. It could be a curse word or something you call your friends by.

Islam has lunar calendars for sure. Some festivals like Eid and Hindu festivals like Ganesh Chathurthi sometimes are on same day. Since being based on phases of moon.

Interesting. So china is in the year 4000?

Haha. Im a little to young for star trek. Star wars was more available to me. Plus my dad doesnt like any of it. He dkesnt like unrealistic movies. My favorite quote while we were watching one of the firat star wars one christmas with the young nephews. “That looks like a yoing Harrison Ford!” - my father. We said. “Well. Thats because it is” followed by lots of laughter.
