I talk often about the bullying I went through in 8th grade
but the response by many is that it’s no big deal
everybody gets called names. it was so much more
than that, it was physical, psychological, and emotional,
and it was the whole class.

I’m sorry you had to go through that @Daze. Bullying is a terrible thing. I never had to deal with it much other than a couple people who made fun of me but my brother went through it and it really took a toll on him.

That’s how I felt.
I consider it more a trauma than a bullying although certainly that too.
But I was traumatized by my bullying experience when I was 11.
Told u the story yesterday.
Been bullied, named called so many other times too but this one was traumatic more than the others.

we all went to the chapel to try to resolve this
and they all said they would never be friends with me again
My mother got me out of there, I switched schools.

Phil says he had to punch a kid one time
but I was just silent, thought it would make things worse.
My mom had no idea or felt powerless. I’m not even sure. Times have changed I hope where kids don’t have to experience what I did so badly anymore
My daughter was bullied. The school did absolutely nothing about it. I tried to talk to the girl’s mom and she wasn’t having it.
Another girl picked on my daughter. I told that girl’s mom and she nipped it in the bud.

Two kids told my son to kill himself. I got on the phone with the school counselor right away. Another kid on the bus kept bullying my youngest son so I called the school and bus garage.

Did the school take care of business? I should’ve sued the school district. They did nothing to help my daughter.
i think its the same thing. If it effects you negatively and emotionally its bullying.

I got bullied in middle school.
I got physical assaulted more than once.

I was bullied too.
As a child and as a teenager.
But in my later teens I met other people that became my friends and they teased me with 
love.
The other ones called me ugly etc but it was hate.they hated me.
The other ones called me ugly with love so it was ok because they loved me…
I want to improve myself inside and out.
Maybe less ugly physically if I try a bit more.
I’m thinking of tattooing eyebrows in a year if I can afford it.that might improve my appearance n not be so much maintenance still.
I learned that when someone is bullying you, it’s because you’re taking up space in their head. That means you have power over them if you can just figure out where to slide the fulcrum under the lever. Now I use bullying as fuel.
I’ve been there myself. It’s sad when a tragedy happens at a school the administration is quick to go on camera and say how seriously they take bullying.

Two of my friends were there too and after repeated visits to the principal they just transferred to another school which was what I should have done.

No, you shouldn’t stay in an environment of bullying.
I’ve had it in jobs, and I nearly immediately had to exit.
You can’t ever correct it.
You’re definitely not ugly and whoever told you that was lying.
