Building a new computer

I’m going to update my computer CPU, ram, mobo, and gfx card. Also it’s like 30% more expensive here than in the us. Turns out That the game I’m trying to play is unplayable without and upgrade

My son built his computer so it would be great for gaming. He bought his stuff at Newegg.com I think it was. He spent $1300 which seemed like a lot to me. But he is very pleased. Good luck with your update, hope it’s cheaper than that.

What are you trying to play?
I am ignorant when it comes to complex games… time has stood still for me since the times of Red Alert by Westwood and Unreal Tournament by Epic Games…

The desktop market is shrinking and the gaming market on mobile devices is growing. The desktop gaming computer is but a niche. $1300 can get you an iPhone 7 Plus or a entry level gaming machine. A top notch Alienware computer can cost $5000+. If it was me, I’d get the iPhone 7 Plus rather than a gaming machine but that’s just me.

Hey @far_cry0! For $1300, there are trade offs of being stationary on a PC and being mobile on a smartphone. The PC by far will be more powerful and have a larger screen but cellular connectivity and mobility to game are some positive aspects of a smartphone.
