Long Covid is definitely real and I’m officially diagnosed with it.
Do you notice the cognitive decline?
Yes, especially for the first month. Couldn’t remember how to do things at work that I was on expert committees for. I’ve gotten most of it back, but it took a lot of pushing myself.
I was lucky. My daughter ? The opposite. Diabetes, raised blood pressure and I think less than ideal liver functioning.
I took paxlovid to wipe mine out as quickly as possible and to hopefully avoid as much deleterious effects as possible. I will take it again if I ever get covid again
Paxlovid is only available by prescription and it takes seven weeks to get in to see a family doc.
Covid caused.my diabetes. Stupid disease.
I have COPD due to covid.
I used an online doc because it was the weekend and wasnt surre if I could get prescription from regular doc in time. “Plushcare” I think it was called.
