Breathing technique, work for you?

I use a breathing technique. It makes me calm and able to concentrate. It clears my mind of scattered thoughts. Can you try it and let me know if it works for you? I breath in through my nose normally. On the exhale, I make a tube shape with my mouth. I make a deep rumbling Ooooo noise. I can feel the low vibration at the back of my mouth. Sometimes it is combined with a bit of a whistle sound. It makes the exhale longer than it would otherwise be. It sounds a bit like what you find if you type ‘mongolian throat singing’ into youtube.
It probably acts as a vagal nerve stimulator. I have read chanting is found to alter blood flow in the brain. Anyway, I try to do this as much as possible. Working, walking, shopping (quietly) or doing housework. Does it work for you?

I haven’t tried it but I have tried different breathing techniques that help with the body mind connection.

No technique will suit everyone. You just need to find something that works for you.

My breathing technique is old school… You first try to lay down flat or sit up right properly in a chair.
Then you breathe in from your nose , and then slowly exhale thru you pursed lips.
While doing so you try to block out all sounds from around you and try to listen for your heart beat / pulse.
Then whilst focused on your pulse you try to count the beats you hear.
This has always worked for me, but minor issues if i deeply meditate with it in combination.
**As per a warning don’t try to slow your breathing and heart beats.

I do tai chi breathing exercises and find them calming. Haven’t tried anything like what you’re doing - it sounds a bit weird, tbh. Happy for you if it’s working for you.
