Idk I just have this feeling that my songs are like low quality or distorted to just lacking professionalism and I can’t figure out what it is mainly…. Idk maybe it’s because I don’t spend money on plugins. Everything I use is 100% free

Ah ok. I use logics native plugins for mixing and for sounds Serum Omnisphere and some Spitfire plugins.
What daw are you using? I’ll be honest hardware and software can hold one back with production. I only picked up the pace when I switched to logic.

Tbh I was inspired by porter to use only free stuff cause he actually uses some native synths and I was like whatever I don’t believe in paying for music but maybe it’s a stupid philosophy lol. At the end of the day you want to make the best listening experience for your audience and nothing is free so. I’m stubborn tho haha

Yea unfortunately my computer sucks and whenever I even try to use tdr labs limiter on it my pc slows down. Kinda stuck using fruity limiter. I think that’s part of t he problem
It gives such a raspy harsh sound to everything god sometimes I can’t stand it lol

Damn, that sucks. Idk if there are any music grants online for computers. I think I searched a few years ago, didn’t find anything.
I want to upgrade my laptop but a new mac is too expensive, so a Windows workstation and switch to Cubase Pro might be the solution for me
And hopefully pay monthly as well
