Blood work and low bone density

Plus two bone scans over the past 2 years show it’s getting worse so all my docs + pdoc looking into my meds or other comorbid health issues I have why.

For now I’m on 3000 vitamin D and 1500 calcium nitrate

They want me to excercise so I am.

Is low bone density part of SZ maybe. That’s what AI said out of 4 possibilities.

So sorry man. Is it treatable? My mum has osteoporosis but she is in her 70s.

I heard some sz meds increase prolactin. I also heard increased prolactin can cause osteoporosis. Maybe meds are involved?

I just read that too. I’m not looking forward to med changes if that is so.

I was dxed with premature osteoporosis after my falls, when I fractured my femur. I was on alendronic acid and and accrete D3, but they took me off the alendronic acid. I was told why, but I can’t remember why. They want me to have a yearly infusion, but my teeth need to be sorted out first.

Fear of another fall, and the damage that would cause, has ended my days of going out alone- with or without a rollator/stroller.

Maybe look into taking vitamin K2 in addition to the calcium and Vit D. There’s a good bone supplement with calcium, Vit D and Vit K2 (MK 4)called Osteo K made by NBI. Also magnesium can help with bone density. MK4 or MK7, Which is Better for Bones? - NBI
