I sometimes wish I had gotten a biology degree. Then I could become a wildlife preserve person and putter around a wildlife reserve taking measures on what is going on in that ecosystem.

That would be a cool job! @crimby

Do you have any other degrees? I have a couple AAS degrees, but they’re not in fields I would enjoy working in.

I have a degree in psychology, but I probably have more hours in literature classes than I do in psychology. The science of psychology is a fascinating field, but I found literature more fascinating.

I’m taking biology over the summer, too! It’s a lot of fun!

@Ninjastar Very cool!! We’re Bio-buddies now :stuck_out_tongue:

@Mountainman Thank you friend. I think this teacher is awesome! :slight_smile: Definitely better than the last teacher I had for bio (I had to drop my previous biology class because it was so hard).

Thank you @anon84763962! :blush:

I sure hope so hahaha. We have a quiz, a test over 6 chapters, and two homework assignments due this coming week.

Whew!

But yeah, I think those 2 'A’s are a good sign of something. Thank you again though. And to @ Everyone Else — if I don’t respond or participate that much this week please know I am busy, but I am still thinking of you guys and gals!

@Turquoise Thank you!! :smiley:

:blush: Why thank you! @tera

I am really nervous about our 1st test. It’s over everything relating to the the cell, etc. But I’ve been studying and listening to lectures every night.

@Anna Did you just graduate recently?

Sort of. I walked and everything but in reality I still have 1 more class to retake before I get my actual degree.

You’re very welcome!

My God – that sounds tough. I hope they offer some kind of tutoring for that class.

My brain is weird — I grasp physics better than chemistry and Bio Ha! I don’t understand it.

Freshman year of high school----biology was the hardest class I ever took. I think id find it interesting now. But after I got a D+ for the year in biology even though I got tutored and tried really hard, I was sent down to all B and C level classes which screwed me… Organic chemistry was the hardest part I remember.

I was terrible at chemistry and physics. I’m not a math minded person so once you throw that in I’m out :dizzy_face:

Yeah – you probably would find it more interesting now since you’re a little older.

Interesting and kinda funny tidbit – I grew up listening to this punk band, Bad Religion, and the singer has a Phd in paleontology. So I grew up listening to all these scientific terms in their songs, so now in my biology class if I have a hard time understanding something, I just think of a BR song. Ha!
