Anyone here come off benzos before? I’ve been on Xanax for about a month but was abusing it (not taking as prescribed) so I’m getting myself off of it before I end up too deep in.
I was taking 2 0.5mg tablets 2-3 times a day.
What can I expect?

Be very careful. I stopped suddenly on xanax and ended up having a gran mal. It’s not fun so you have to titrate down very slowly.

That’s not very long. You can still get withdrawal symptoms but I doubt they’ll be severe.

My GP replaced it with Buspar.

Yeah I’ve read so many horror stories though that it has me worried. But that does provide some relief.
