Being miserable, working hard and delaying retirement - sadly it's the key to a longer life

A very old article I came across!

But have they ever truly lived?..

Propaganda as far as I’m concerned. There’s a shortage of workers. They want people to work 3 part time jobs with no benefits. They make people believe that they should work til they die or their life has no meaning. People believe this philosophy so what they’re doing is working.

Yeah, I remember you’ve voiced this opinion before.
I do believe there are people who thrive on being active after retirement age.

My uncle is 78 now, retired at 52. Chops wood every day and solves crossword puzzles. Retains sports news like a sponge. Looks content.

You don’t need to be in a paid job, I don’t think that’s what the article is about. Maybe I’m wrong.

Yeah I believe everything in moderation. Moderate activity is good on your own terms. Being forced to work to survive after doing 45 years work to me is criminal. It’s just an opinion. No facts. It’s how I feel.

I just ran with the headline. The article takes a 180 stance. It’s kinda incongruent. Good things
