Been developing joint pain the last months

I need to get into the doc to test some things. I’m not sure if its weight related, some type of arthritis, an infection/inflammation or a combination of some or all of these. Or maybe something else. But for many months now I have been having off and on pain in inner right knee and right hip. And occasional pain elsewhere. These pains join my apparent inflammation in chest area, which I now think is costochondritis.

Anyway, there a people with worse conditions, but I it’s on my mind right now because they have been bothering me the last couple days so I thought I would write about it.

Reminds me of something one of my grandmothers used to say. She’d tell me “Don’t get old”. Apparently I did not follow this advice well, but I offer it to those of you that haven’t gotten there yet anyway. Don’t get old.

Makes a good poem.

I remember one time I had a noticeable onset of joint pain. I was thinking oh is this “old age” related? But soon I came to know it was a precursor to lithium toxicity. That was awful. I got seriously ill and after they found it and I stopped the lithium it took awhile for me to feel better.

Wow, leafy. Yeah, definitely all the more reason to get checked out by doc. Yes, it does seem a bit strange that the pains (besides the chest) seem to have developed all at once, around the same time. I had originally thought it was related to taking Januvia, because thats around the time it started. But I have not taken it for months and the pain has not subsided and seems to affect more areas.

I will definitely try to get tested to see whats up.

The med they replaced it with was “Jardiance”. Looking online apparently it can cause joint pain as well. :frowning: .

Maybe I will have to quit this med also and see if it subsides.

Hiya @Bowens, just popping by to say hope you feel better soon and that you’re not old— if anything, you’re just vintage  :+1:

I’m sorry that you are feeling like this @Bowens but yeah could very well be med related.

Anyway, I wish you well

I really like the following combination:
Hyaluronic acid
Collgen
Curcumin
Glucosamine
Chondroitin
MSM

■■■■ tastes terrible but the effects are real.

You can find powders that are Glucosamine + Chondroitin + MSM. Hyaluronic acid + Collgen.

Baby asprin is also okay.

I’m not sure how they diagnose joint pain.

When my shoulder joints were hurting, the doctor prescribed a shot of steroids in the joints. Apparently, I had inflammation in it those two joints, and the shot quickly and totally removed the pain for about eleven months.

Now the pain is similar, but it is not inflammation, and a shot has no effect on the pain,
