Became uncle yesterday.It’s my brother’s first child.His name is Andrey.Just wanted to share because my brother is soon 42,so I wonder how long will I last to see him growing up.

I often felt negative thoughts about the idea of raising my own kids. But I have good memories from being an Uncle. It’s not the kids I dislike. It’s trying to raise them by myself or doing my part as a partner that scares me along with the raised genetic risk. Congratulations. I hope you enjoy being an Uncle for a long time to come. You don’t know how long you or your brother will be around.

Just wondering about one thing.My brother and his wife were unfair at one point,asking me to leave flat I shared with my brother.They weren’t married at that time,and for some reason she stopped talking to me month before I left.I gave my half to a brother before,when our mother died.They were not in relationship at that moment.I wonder if it was because of my mental illness,or am I been sufficient in there.
Also,If it was because of MI,will they left me to share moments with their child at all.They were very careful about talking to me,and at one point my brother called my father and told him that they can’t live with me any longer.Father called me and said he would pay some of my bills if I move out.
Just wondering how they will treat me in future,since I’m not very welcomed as person.I would like to have some time to spend with my nephew.

congratulations. I have 7 nieces and nephews. a couple are already in college and 3 are just now in high school and 2 are still young. Im better with them now that they are a little older than I was when they were younger. I had a hard time playing with them when they were younger. sometimes with my nephews we would play with lego’s, but mostly we watched tv and ate chocolate chip cookies…haha.

I’ve never changed a diaper, I feel a little guilty about it. I have been asked but was uncomfortable cleaning a child’s private parts. I just let their mom and dad and grandparents do that.
