Bbq was epic fail

I was so proud of myself for going to a bbq at my friends house. It was supposed to be a small group of people I know really well but a half hour into it and all these people started showing up. As you can imagine it didn’t take long for me to go into full on psycho mode. I made it to our car and just sat there till my husband came to check on me. One look at me and he immediately took me home. I hope my friends can understand why I had to go. I wish I could be a little less of a freak.

I never go when invited anymore, so most have stopped asking, always ends the same with me leaving or just sitting in the corner by myself

It was still a success because you went, enjoyed it for a period of time, recognized and avoided your stressors, and left when it stopped being fun.

ahhhh! That’s so nice of you to say. I guess it is good that I tried, right?

Personally, I’ll put up with a lot for bbq. At the apartments where I live we’ve had several outdoor bbq’s. This guy here has the knack of bbq’ing chicken perfectly. It’s so good.

It wasn’t a failure.
Actually it was a success, because you went and tried @tera.
Don’t be so hard on yourself!
