BASE Jumping has an extremely high mortality rate so does boxing and, somewhat surprisingly, canoeing.
Just thought it was an interesting stat. I won’t be doing base jumping any time soon.

I had a colleague who base jumped.
Hes one of only a few people on this planet who base jumped with the parachute pierced into his back. Yes, they actually pierced the brackets that the parachute was attached to in his back, and he jumped off a cliff. The pictures were nasty.

I edited my post, as I thought he sky dived with the piercing, but he based jumped.

It’s basically jumping from a very high perch (think cliff or mountainside) with a parachute to land you. Dangerous? Yes. Totally exhilarating? You betcha.
