Bad news... I guess?

Had my consult with the surgeon on Tuesday. I now have to have an endoscopy along with the colonoscopy. He said his best guess for my symptoms is Crohn’s disease. I’ve been feeling worse by the day. More pain, more nausea, more fatigue. I’ve barely eaten today. No appetite at all. I hurt so bad physically, and I’m exhausted all the time. Walking has even become a task. My physical health has always been perfect. I’m becoming depressed. Cried twice today. Had to leave work early. May have to call out tomorrow if this doesn’t ease up.

I feel hopeless. (I’m NOT suicidal)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s tough to deal with a chronic physical illness on top of a chronic mental illness. But you’ll know more about what you’re looking at once you have the colonoscopy and endoscopy. Until then take care of yourself and if that means a break from work, so be it. I hope you feel better soon.

Best advice about Crohn’s is to eat healthy. Hope it goes ok with you.

Sorry you’re going through this @Dreamer .

Kurt Cobain had Crohn’s disease, but they didn’t have good medication back then.

Hope you get settled on a good med.

@Dreamer
I gotcha… I’ve been struggling with gi issues for a year or so. I go through depression, anger, and anxiety.

Just DON’T give up… you’ll get through it. PM if you want. I’m here.

I had colitis many years ago. I’ve never experienced pain like that before that point in time. Hopefully the tests will confirm the doctor’s suspicions. Please let us know how you are feeling later on.
