I had another disturbing dream…
I used to get them all the time. I mentioned it to my Dr and he turned me onto Prazosin. After slowly getting the dose up to 5mg the dreams stopped. In fact I didn’t remember any dreams at all. It was nice.
Fast forward to about a month ago, out of the blue I started getting dizzy spells. They would happen upon standing, and when I would lie down or roll over in bed. Apparently that’s postural hypotension (low blood pressure) and my pdoc suspected the Prazosin was to blame. She asked me to lower the dose. I lowered the dose and the dizziness stopped. But the dreams started again.
I decided to start the Prazosin back up and lower one of my other blood pressure meds instead but the dreams won’t stop. Why? So now what? Am I gonna have to increase the Prazosin until the dreams stop again. What a bunch of bad luck.
Anyway, like I said, I had another bad dream. My heart is still racing a bit. My daughter was still little and I lost her in this big house. I went room to room looking for her. I got confused because there were so many rooms. I became frantic. No one would help or take me seriously. I was checking bathtubs to make sure there was no water for her to drown in. I woke up in a total panic. I still can’t shake the feeling. I just want to call my daughter to make sure she’s ok but it’s 2 am here so it’ll have to wait til morning. I don’t know if I will be able to go back to sleep. fml
