Avocado almond cheesecake

Ive been having fun trying to make desserts without a recipe, just based on descriptions. I am VERY proud of this one. Avocado replaced a bit of the cream cheese, and I added lime juice to keep it from browning when it was baked. The crust was Graham cracker and crushed almonds.

Here is the finished cheesecake

And here it is all dressed up in almond whipped cream and homemade warm berry sauce

I would like to especially note the lack of any crack across the top. Contrary to my aunt’s advice, a crack is NOT how you tell a cheesecake is done. It’s how you tell it’s overdone.

The almond would put me off that… You did well in thinking up the combination though. Some people have a natural instinct re combining flavours.

I can’t take the credit for that. I was reading a story where one of the characters ate an avocado almond cheesecake at a very bougie restaurant and I thought to myself, “Bet I could make that!”

I don’t generally like avocado. I’d eat it as a cheesecake. That looks good.

There was 1 cup of sugar. Enough to make it desserty, but not overpoweringly sweet. I seriously doubt it’s healthy, but it was interesting.

I like the colours and touch of avocado. Sounds unusual
