When I was small they said i had mild autism. The Dr. my parents didn’t want to believe that they didn’t let go to any therapy. Also I was told only males were autistic so I (idk just had a bad attitude?). My parents thought I was just ignoring them or something. This was back in the 1960s btw.
So my thoughts are: I have a diagnosis of disorganized schizophrenia.
Would it be helpful to sort out the autism factor for treatment?
I do not take meds as per agreement with my Dr I take anxiety meds and do CBT.
Maybe I have been misdiagnosed? Maybe I am autistic with anxiety and PTSD?
How can I get this sorted out, the time I asked my Dr she said she wasn’t familiar with diagnosing autism -but there is overlap and similarity in the two disorders and changed the subject.
I don’t know anything about autism, but if you’re wanting something your current doctor can’t or won’t help you with then I would suggest seeking a second opinion. Good luck.

A lot of psychiatrists are not familiar with Autism.
You are going to have to go see a specialist.
I would go and get different opinions, you never know.
The treatment plans are different.
