In middle school I was very good at art, but decided I liked music better so I dumped art for music. Then, I dumped music for writing.
This is a painting I did a while back art is my life I love it
Wow @Drawingtocope, Iām kinda blown away by this painting, these birds hold a special place in my heart because as a kid, weād go to the zoo and they were everywhere, with swans and pink flamingos too!!
Aw thank you! Iām glad you appreciate it! I love peacocks too
Was looking for the name lol.
My Dad is an art teacherā¦ Iāve never been that great at drawingā¦ I was more for ceramics. I miss itā¦
I got out of the habitā¦ my older stuff was very dark to reflect my dark frame of mindā¦ I ended up smashing a lot of itā¦ it wasnāt helping me get better.
Now that Iām in a more positive mind setā¦ I feel more creativeā¦ Iāve been thinking that by the end of this yearā¦ Iām gong to try and find a ceramics studio that isnāt costing an arm and a leg.
Iām not good at drawing or painting, but I do enjoy painting. Iām fairly decent with photography. But my main art is I play guitar, write songs and sing. Iām a pretty good singer.
I like to draw things I see in the stucco /texture on the walls ā¦unique creatures show themselves to me that remind me of the bar scene in the first āStar Warsā movie.
In 2007 I found taking pictures with my iPhone at night of our F250 Dash with all the colorful lights made me stupid happy for months, and still does every time I come across them again.
I love, love, loved my āCircle Monsterā that I created out of leftover scraps of aluminum and rubber, riveting it all together while bored in our hanger waiting for the ex to finish a project on the planeā¦that monster hung in my room for yearsā¦it was such a happy little guy.
I still imagine all the neat things Iād like to make with all the shiny bits of metal I find on the ground, and put it all together with the other stuff I take off things others have discardedā¦but,
those days are gone since I spend too much time trying to organize it all back to that state of stupid happy I knew in a room full of my favorite things.
But the question was, āAre you any good atā
and Iād be pretty sure the answer would be no.
Iāve been told all my life that Mom was the artist in the family-not me, and yes she was, and good tooā¦but did it have to be limited to one per family?
Even my high school art teacher praised my mom who took evening art classes with him, and made sure everyone in the same room knew that āI sure didnāt take after herā
So poop in everyone butt, I call it art and I like it and if someone else would like to share the pleasure art gives, then thatās all I care about.
Good thing too, because if I did it for work, Iād starve.
