It seems like the place is getting more like a reality TV show though they have not told me the prize was to be subject to ritual torture and ridicule.
Anybody here had this.

No. History has seen most things and I think we’re just hitting a point after a long period of prosperity. Things like this pandemic are always a danger and stuff like climate change really is changing our planet.
It’s a large canvas if your symptomatic but I wouldn’t say it’s any stranger. It’s just trying times.
If the U.S. and China go to war it could trigger a world wide depression probably worse than the Great Depression of the thirties. There are already a lot of middle class people teetering on the brink of financial ruin.
I would say the times are getting stranger. The whole coronavirus crisis is unique and maybe the biggest global situation after the 2nd WW. What makes this unique is also the fact that we can watch the world leaders such as the WHO’s Managing Director to speak online and millions of people are watching. The climate change is a big threat and proper actions should be taken to slow the rise of global temperatures. I am afraid that this virus crisis makes economies to collapse and in the aftermath violence shall rise and the world diverts to the chaos. We are living unique times now.
The Times got strange with the invention of the wheel, gunpowder, industrialisation, nuclear energie,tv, internet. It seems nothing can stop progress.
I hope it gets so strange that they find a cure for all SZ symptoms
@BigBlue I understand exactly what you’re saying. I’m experiencing it too. My life is scripted. The only question is if everyone is experiencing the same thing and just concealing it, or if it’s just sz’s.
The world has always been a weird place. Strange stuff abounds throughout history.
If you want to talk about diseases that wiped out great numbers of people, how about the Black Plague in Europe where nearly half the population died? Diseases like smallpox killed millions of people. The measles decimated the population of Indians in America when Columbus and other foreigners brought it with them.
There has been literally constant war all throughout history. Religion is directly responsible for so many wars and related deaths. There has been mass genocide in various countries at different times besides the Holocaust. We don’t corner the market on strangeness in our time. And there’s always been natural disasters that come along semi-regularly that wipe out thousands and thousands of people. Depends what your definition of strange is when it comes to history. And just to throw in a semi-related fact to also ponder is that there has always been someone, somewhere who predicts the end of the world.
Religion is still causing unnecessary death and delusion. Congregations continue to meet and not practice social distancing or just STAY HOME even in my home town.

Yeah, my church went online weeks ago. Now I can feel awkward, uncomfortable, different and lost every Sunday morning between 9:30 am-10:30 am in the privacy of my own living room.
