Apple unveils iPhone 11 Pro

The iPhone 11 is not too expensive but it’s still a big phone.
Don’t know if I’ll buy one.

It is going to be ÂŁ1049 for the pro in the UK. I am not sure what you mean by not expensive.

I’ve upgraded to an Xr and it’s great. Good tech etc but it’s so bloody big. I need a pretty big hard case for it and I can’t take it jogging. My old SE is my new ipod. I miss those days when a phone fitted in my shirt pocket.

STill. It’s a nice phone and is easy to use. The bigger screen makes it easier to read for sure even without the glasses I need but…It’s way too big!

No I’m talking about the iPhone 11 not the pro.
It’s cheaper than the XR.
In the $600 range.

I got an XR too. It’s the first time I have ever got a current apple device. I was impressed that upgrading to a 128gb was only an extra £50.

I must say the screen is a bit big, but I am used to it now.

I hate Apples advertising. Apple advertised it as the most detailed screen ever in an Apple phone. But the thing is while that is true, it is also exactly the same resolution as last years.

The iPhone 11 is very similar to last years XR.

The iPhone XR was too large for me, it was a brick!

The next phone I get will be the S10. I am in no rush though, phones are already way faster than they need to be.

I was thinking about getting the XS at a discounted price.
Prices on the older model iPhones should drop a bit.

@everhopeful what is your opinion on the 11 personally? I need to get a phone for my son, and I’d prefer him to have an iPhone so I can use the find my friends feature to LoJack him in case he gets kidnapped or lost (definite risk of that happening). Or can android phones also do that cross-platform? I have an iPhone.

Nobody seemed to care about the September Apple release this year.

Yes, I would like @everhopeful’s opinion on the iPhone 11 as well.

@Ninjastar @Wave

I don’t have a clue about iphone products I’ve only used android.

But there’s a cross platform thing from google that might do what you need as a find my friends substitute.

Edit: just to be clear the cross platform app is called “Trusted Contacts”

@everhopeful thanks so much! The other benefit of the iphone 11 is that it comes in pretty colors. But I think he would prefer an android. If I get an android, what is a good quality phone that’s cheap but durable?

Very large battery

(spits) Expensive gadgetry! My iPhone 7 is chugging right along and I don’t need something the size of a clipboard in my pocket. Pockets are only so big. Soon, we’re going to have the Levi Strauss “iPhone 12 size approved” sticker. No innovation either, not really. Not really worth the gobs of money either. I won’t get an iPhone again after reports came out that the assemblers of these things were committing suicide almost en masse and nets had to be installed as workers attempted suicide by jumping out of the building. Can you imagine?. Plus they work 18 hour days. Not nice.
