Anyone try Luvox?

I’ve read that Luvox doesn’t cause weight gain and is an anti-depressant. I’m thinking about making an appointment and asking my psychiatrist to take it.

My husband has been gone a month and doesn’t get back for another week. I am past sad. He’s been gone almost a total of four months this year. It’s really taken a toll on me.

Anyway, has anyone tried Luvox?

I’ve tried Wellbutrin twice. The second time I tried it, which was last year, it gave me insomnia, and I was dragging at work. I just couldn’t tolerate it. I know that’s another one that doesn’t cause weight gain.

I’ve been on Luvox about 2 years. Helps a lot with OCD and obsessive thoughts. No side effects.

I took Luvox and didn’t gain weight. But I ended up stopping it because I was getting skin rashes.

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I was reading that some people are too tired on it. This is why I hesitate with anti-depressants because there’s many times some unpleasant side effect and I’m not past sad often. My dad suggested on a phone call that I sit outside in the sun. It is sunny today and I did that. It did help. Then I got up and went grocery shopping.

Anyway, I’ve used antidepressants when it was something really serious. I might still try it just to see if there’s a benefit to it for me. I figure if the side effect is something I don’t like, then I don’t have to take it. My psychiatrist absolutely does not require me to be on an antidepressant.
