i just started it like a week ago and it feels like i get hungry more and i feel fat lmao.as far as moods i feel stable just bored overall. dont really think its for me . i also take zoloft 50mg
thinking about just taking the zoloft by itself.

I had bipolar for 15 years before it developed into schizoaffective. For almost all of those years I’ve been on 1000mg Depakote each night. I’ve been on it so long I can’t tell you what the side effects are, but it got me through college with a 3.7 GPA back when my diagnosis was bipolar.
Nowadays my antipsychotic is my main focus, since I have voices and have had delusions. I still take the Depakote though.

Yeah I’ve been on Depakote for many years.
It makes me very hungry and it makes me crave carbs but it also helps stabilize my moods so I remain on it.
It’s been a lifesaver.

I took it for a while. I recently (3 months ago) stopped taking it on my own because the weight gain was getting out of hand. Doc had no qualms about it, but I’m not recommending you buck your pdoc.
schizoaffective can develop into bipolar i never heard of that interesting tho. did it make you gain weight>?

It didn’t make me gain weight, but I started taking it when I was in my late teens/early twenties. The zyprexa is what made me gain weight.

I just started it up for about a week haven’t gained weight yet im hoping this continues I like it but I feel agitation a little bit was wondering if anyone had this does it go away but other than that its pretty good I take the er version

I take depakote for epilepsy. 1000 mg Daily in two doses of 500mg. I have hunger pangs as side effects which leads to weight problems. I do calculate it’s better to take it than to risk having seizures.
