Anyone on vraylar?

My cw for some reason asked if I would take vraylar. I just want to know from. Experience what you think of it.ask the pdoc.

I looked up vraylar and Invega. I think I can take vraylar.

At the moment the best drug for me, only adverse effect insomnia.

I’m on Vraylar for a week and a half… Jumped up from 1.5mg to 3mg since 2 days. Can’t really draw a conclusion yet if I like it/works or not. Unlike many I take it at night. Side-effects so far (social) anxiety and concentration problems.

The active metabolite shows effect after 2-3 (perhaps up to 6) weeks.

Hi, @roxanna. I’ve been on Vraylar for about a year. Was on 6mg since about last May, now on 4.5mg. I don’t notice much in the way of side effects. And it enables me to play my bass guitar without religious delusions. I prefer it to, say, Saphris because it’s not a sublingual. It’s just a small capsule taken by mouth. Think I can recommend, but everybody’s different.

How long did it take until you noticed improvements?

It took about six months. But that may be because I’d been a heavy drinker before starting it. I quit drinking in Sept 2017 and started the Vraylar in Dec 2017.

Thanks! What was timeline of the improvement like? Did you notice (almost) nothing for six months and then an improvement?

Yes thank you!

Yes, it took four or five months for my voices to go away. I had a tough winter last Jan-Apr or May. But yeah, it was about June before I was reasonably stable. From there, I’ve had little improvements each new month. I think it’s a good drug.

My pleasure, @roxanna and @anon9805972. Take care :sunny:

I’ve been on Vraylar for over 2 years. It’s the only med that makes me happy.

Are you still on vraylar?

I’ve been on Vraylar for almost 2 years. I feel about the same as @Borath. I haven’t noticed much int he way of side effects. I’m on a lot of meds, though, so I don’t pay too much attention to side effects unless they are severe. I am being moved from 3 mg to 4.5. I just have to pick the meds up at the pharmacy.

Are you still on vraylar? What symptoms does it help?

Are you still on vraylar?

I am so sorry for taking forever to respond. I haven’t been on the board in days.

I am no longer on Vraylar, but not by choice or because my doctor doesn’t want me on it. Quite simply, my insurance won’t cover it anymore. They used to, but now they won’t.
