“Down with the Sickness” is an ok song, but other than that I really don’t care for Disturbed. A few suggestions for good metal bands would be Mushroomhead, A Killer’s Confession, Blue Felix, Source (their stuff is hard to find, though, probably not on Spotify), and Infected Rain is pretty good, too. I just recently came across a nu metal band called From Ashes to New that’s pretty good. That’s just naming a few. One mainstream band I like is Five Finger Death Punch, though I haven’t been listening to them much lately. I just picked up Korn’s most recent one a couple days ago, and it is good. Last night I heard an opening act called The Browning that I really liked, though I don’t know if you can find their stuff on Spotify. They’re sort of a combination of metal and techno/electronic, wouldn’t call them industrial, though.

None of the bands I just listed are really like Disturbed, Disturbed has kind of unique sound, but just rattling off some good metal bands. :grinning:

I just recently came across a rendition of “The Sounds of Silence” by that group. I thought it came off well. I checked a couple of other of their songs, but they seemed to heavy metal for my tastes. Maybe I should take a closer look at them.

I like the “Sound of Silence” song form that group as well. I’m actually old enough to remember the Simon and Garfunkel version and I think it does a great cover song. I don’t know much about the rest of their music other than it’s generally metal.

I’m like you. I’m old enough to reminisce about Simon and Garfunkel. That was before the sz hit, and life got so stressful.
