No,but probably have non verbal learning disorder which is similar. As it’s not recognised in the UK(not in DSM/ICD) It’s impossible to get a diagnosis and help.
A nurse mentioned dyspraxia to the pdoc which could have been a way in to discussing problems… However after flirting on the topic with a couple of questions the pdoc didn’t engage with me further.
As with children with aspergers those with nvld are more likely to be bullied ,which is what happened to me.

thought i did. im started to wonder if it was schizotypical all along because they were so similar
@CloudDog: This is probably something to talk with your pdoc about. I suffer from hallucinations and delusions when symptomatic, but got the disorganized tag thanks to behavioral disorganization.
My memory works best for things that don’t relate to everyday activities. I have a system for keeping track of little details (like showering, using a pit stick, etc.) that probably borders on sorcery.
I don’t share the same sense of humour the rest of humanity has, either. I’ve learned how to fake it well enough in polite company, but have to work hard not to laugh when I know it’s inappropriate to others.
Those sorts of things.

I have a nephew that has Aspergers in spades. He’s smart taking the hardest physics and math classes. But he is sheltered from the world by his parents.
My parents worry for him but can’t dictate that he get more help. My other brothers and sister have opinions and suggestions too. But what can we do? He could never get a job at this point unless he got some specialized help.
I have read books about it how one can adjust especially if you’re smart like him. Many employers love the focus they can attain.
In that way I think it’s kind of like sz that they have gifts for the world that can be accomplished with a little understanding and possible accommodations.
