Just wondering if its common with mental illness to feel body stress and heaviness?
When I get overly stressed I can experience flu like symptoms.
Oh no way! I get hot burning and tingling all down my body. My breathing is shallow always , i forget to take deep breaths
With me, it’s feeling achy and feverish. I’ve had none of that since moving to be near my daughter.
Thats great @firemonkey
My body is constantly in tune with my stress levels unfortuately and im always friggin stressed
Being overly stressed can make me feel physically ill. It also makes all of my HM symptoms worse while stealing the energy I need to manage them. Stress management is a primary goal I have from one day to the next.
For me it feels like mental illness IS stress. All my symptoms are so deeply interwoven with the sensations typically associated with stress and anxiety that it’s hard to tell which is which.
I typed into google
My body is constantly in tune with my stress level
It gave in depth information, im on phone so cant upload it but it says yes your body is affected by stress. cortisol and adrenaline hormones are released during stress and it means your in fight or flight mode. Being this stressed all time can lead to cardiovascular disease , high blood pressure, weakened immune systm. Its not good
Im just sipping cold water trying to calm down but mine gets worse at night after a stressful day
Having panic attacks and palpitations when stressed these things are all your body reacting to stress.
I definitely get physical symptoms from stress to different degrees depending. It feels like im stressed all the time though. I cant seem to be able to manage it very well.
Ive been out this morning to sit by the river and walk around park but sitting there were people walking past and i couldnt relax my body was tense even then.
Do you have any advise how to manage stress better?
Stress and depression
are visible in the body
Yes the brain is just part of the body…
Bad general health wil invariably affect mental health. They’re the same organism.
I cant make that a habit though ugh
Wish meds were as strong as a beer lol
