I thought I did. But when I got my scan done they didn’t see any PCOS. So it was a misdiagnosis. But I know some of the symptoms like weight gain hair growth on face insulin resistance
I had an ultrasound scan and they found possible cysts
Many people here have pcos. I won’t sya who cause it’s not my business but I see people talk about it a lot.
I used to have pcos but it’s gone now.
Can it disappear then?
I have PCOS, was diagnosed 3 years ago.
I guess. So my testosterone levels used to be very high. Now they are in the normal range.
It’s good to see you @Rosette.
Thanks, it’s nice to be here in nice in a while.
What’s pcos ? ![]()
I’ve had PCOS for 17 years. I get really painful ovarian cysts that burst about eight times a year. I’ve had two surgeries so far. I used to be on birth control and that did help. I’m not on birth control anymore now. When I hit menopause I may have my ovaries removed. I dunno.
I had PCOS and got rid of it with a total hysterectomy about 5 years ago. I wish they would’ve done it when i was 12, best thing I’ve ever done!
did they remove your overies? do u have to take hormones?
They removed EVERYTHING. No ovaries, no fallopian tubes, no uterus, no cervix. I never took hormones and never experienced “typical” menopause symptoms.
thats nice! how old were u when u had it? i kinda want one haha
I was 45…i was really glad to have it done. I used to have, literally, psychotic PMS (I think they call it PMDD now). I would attempt suicide and be admitted to the hospital and, lo and behold, 3 days later I’d get my period. My mom noticed this pattern years before but nobody took her seriously. The hysterectomy made my life so much better.
