The terrorists don’t seem to understand how self defeating terrorism is. Terrorism is what keeps popular opinion in the west so much against the Muslims. If they repudiated terrorism they just might make some progress politically in western societies.

Terrorists don’t want progress. They enjoy having desperate people willing to do anything to survive. It’s how they get new followers.
That’s what I mean about how self defeating terrorism is. That’s exactly the way people look at them. They obviously feel like they have grievances, or they wouldn’t be blowing themselves up in places crowded with people. The United States has done some harm to the Muslims. In 1953 we toppled a democratically elected government in Iran and installed a despot that reigned for a couple of decades after we put him in power. Right now we would give a lot to have that democratically elected government back. Also, after the first war with Iraq President Bush called for the Iraqi people to rise up against Sadaam Hussein and promised them that the U.S. would give them air support if they did. The Iraqi people rose up against Hussein, and President Bush (the first President Bush) backed out of his promise to give them air support. As a result a whole lot of Iraqi people got killed. We gave Hussein support when he first staged a coup and came into office. That was a move we ended up regretting.

Terrorists are cowards needing justification for their empty lives. I hate terrorists. They fill the whole world with fear. and then there’s the dead and the injured victims. horrible.

My Muslim neighbor whom I’ve never formally met, just dropped by 20 minutes ago with his young daughter and gave my family a plate of fruit and other snacks to celebrate Ramadan. They are doing the same for others in our area.
I was pleasantly surprised, and my wife and I are going to send them a nice ‘thank you’ card tomorrow.
The extremists give peaceful and caring Muslims like my neighbor a bad name. It truly is a shame.

These terrorist are all on drugs. They nearly all take heroin. It’s just disgusting.
Karma will make them pay in hell afterlife. I hope!
