Annoyed ChatGPT users complain about bot’s relentlessly positive tone

I noticed a lot of people talking about this on Reddit.

You can talk to Chat GPT about adjusting its tone.

Although I feel like sometimes it will make the adjustments then “forget” and go back to the compliments.

Yeah, I asked it if it ever says anything negative or bad about anybody.

Haha i noticed this when anderson cooper was doing it. He’d ask a question and the AI voice was like “GREAT question! You really have a knack for research! Now…”

So yeah I get it and agree. All of that patronizing is pointless noise.

I really wish it would just stop blowing me and answer me plainly with the humorless personality of a german doctor.

I just told chatgpt to shine a light on a potato from a 100 quintillian foot high lamp for 30 years. It was most agreeable :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I like its positive tone. I may get sick of it but I just started using chatgpt a couple of weeks ago and I told it some bad problems and felt better when it validated me and helped me.

Now we’re complaining about too much positivity. You can’t please some people and you can’t please everyone.
If I wanted to be called a douche and laughed at and be told a bunch of negative stuff about my life I would open up to my co workers or my boss or pour out my heart to the hated neighbors.
