Android phone tip

I think I figured out why my moto android phone kept crashing apps:

I replaced the default bloated Gboard keyboard with a lighter keyboard (so far tried Swiftkey and Keepass2)… and it seemed to speed up my cheap phone a lot and fix the problems with Chrome constantly crashing.

Maybe because you have low RAM?
I have a Samsung S9 and no issues with default keyboard.

Ram Could be part of the problem, but Gboard seems to be a huge CPU hog for slower phones… at any rate its working great now.

My phone upgraded to Android 9 so maybe the newer OS is too demanding for lower spec phones.

if your apps keep crashing on your phone, try clearing the cache/data for each individual app.

also, keep your storage clean to prevent clusterfcks from happening.

I also use CCleaner on my phone. Its free and works.

Actually I might also have had some malware or JavaScript crud in my Chrome browser… was getting some odd popups so I totally cleared the data in Chrome and uninstalled some suspect apps.

I get a little suspicious of CCleaner because they have had a security issues in the past.
