If your hair is thick, long and course like mine, the perm ends up very frizzy for a while, before it loosens. I would ask for the largest curler possible, to get bigger looser locks. Since your hair is really long, you might just end up with either waves or small curls that are too tight. Just make sure it’s done by a professional. Just my experience.
I want to say that you are beautiful no matter what and you should what pleases you. And a perm might be kind of fun and different. You would be able to play around with it and stuff. But I want to also say that you have really pretty natural hair and I like that natural look you have going. But I doubt you are trying to attract 55 year old schizophrenic females so maybe the perm is a good idea. lol.
I think that is so funny. It seems like all the curly haired people say they hate their hair and many straighten and yet all the straight hair people are coveting the beautiful curls.
My daughter was born with curly hair. When we got her first cut it took all the curl out and for the next 22 years her hair was stick straight. Then for some reason her curls came back and her hair is super curly and she loves it. She knows what it’s like to live on the limp, lifeless side.
