Getting a perm!

I’ve been working on my appearance lately and I decided that I am gonna get something that I’ve wanted for a while now! A perm! I love curly hair and have always wanted it! I am going to the beauty school and they are charging me $38 not including tax! I’m so excited I don’t wanna wait till Wednesday but I gotta!

I’m sure you will! I used to hate my curls growing up but I’ve really learned to love them :blush:

Are you getting a regular or spiral perm?

Make sure you have quite a bit of length in your hair before getting your perm @Twialine as the curls bounce up making your hair appear shorter. My sister had a perm once that made her look like a granny because her hair wasn’t long enough lol.

In a regular perm, the rods are horizontal. In a spiral perm they’re vertical which creates a curl like curly fries

Ah I’ve always wanted a perm too!! But my hair is too thin I think for it to look good…

Ive done it both ways.
Take small piece of hair, thicker then for foil higlights, and role it in different directions.
Thats why it looked like natural curly hair.

Ok. Ask them if the know how to do a spiral perm. Make sure the rods are vertical when they wrap up your hair

I’ve heard women say they are getting a perm my whole life and I don’t think I really know what it is, just some kind of hair styling from what I gather, lol
