I used to think I am famous and people spy on me, then the police came to capture me and put me in a psych ward

Yes, I have had similar delusions. I believed that everyone on the television, as well as everyone in real life was having a joke at my expense.
It can become all-consuming. The good news is, is that with time and perspective you can see it as it really is. Merely a delusional state of your mind
For me anyway, once I understood, the delusion fell away fairly quickly
