Why oh WHY is it that someone always has to be negative on a post? Always have to say they don’t like whatever the post is about. Have to bi!ch about maybe getting flagged. Make a comment that has nothing to do with the post. Whine about their past on someone else’s story. Say something angry or sad on someone’s good news. Jesus. What is wrong with some people?

Sometimes I read the negative posts, but I enjoy the positive ones more. You just don’t see too many of those. I try to post positive ones just to irritate the heck out of everyone.

But then someone has to post something negatively on positive posts. It’s annoying. Just let people enjoy things!
I agree. Threads will go badly even on positive ones.
It’s always like they think if they feel bad then they have to joy kill everything else
Maybe the positive posts makes the people who are not doing well, feel bad about their lives. I dunno. Let’s start a positive post and see how it goes…

I think this is something that happens everywhere, and I don’t think many people do it intentionally. It’s can be difficult to be positive when you’re struggling, and sometimes people post things that are meant to be positive, but don’t come across as such in writing. I know that happens to me. Example:
OP: I’ve taken a shower for 7 days in a row!
Me: That’s awesome! I’m so proud of you. I still have issues with showering. Like, I haven’t taken a shower all week until today. Things can be hard. I’m very pleased with how long you’ve been able to overcome it.
That example is based on actual conversations, both mine and others that I’ve read. You have to remember that some people aren’t all the way in reality yet. Though I now understand how such a post in my example could be construed as me raining on someone’s parade, a less aware, sicker me did not.
this site can definitely have some highly negative posters. I am not surprised though. we all have serious mental health issues. so were not all always in the best of moods. some people have learned helplessness too and just want to drag everyone down with them.
so ya just gotta ignore it

Distinctly negative isn’t the best, but I do enjoy a different view. It’s often times how people present their opposing view that matters. It can be “I personally disagree”, or “you’re wrong”. The wording makes all the difference.
